Don't confuse habitual with natural

It's dangerous to mix up the words natural and habitual. We have been trained to be quite habitual at communicating in ways that are quite unnatural.

Natural Giving

Anything we do in life that isn't coming out of the energy of natural giving, we pay for it and everybody else pays for it. Anything we do out of fear of punishment if we don't, everybody pays for it. Anything we do for a reward, everybody pays for it. Everything we do to make people like us, everybody pays for it. Everything we do out of guilt, shame, duty, obligation, everybody pays for it.

We were designed to enjoy giving, to give from the heart. 

Please and Thank you

The only things people are ever saying are "Please" and "Thank you". That is all.

All that sounds like criticism, judgements, blame are simply tragic suicidal expressions of "Please".

The Highest Form of Human Intelligence

Ask yourself, how difficult is to make observations, especially of people and their behavior, that are free of judgement, criticism or other forms of analysis.

And evaluations often provoke defensiveness rather than compassion.

Love or not really love

I think I’ve lived my whole life with a mistaken definition of love. I believed love was something real that existed between two people. I believed my wife loved me, and that she married me because of that love.

But I’ve been proven wrong time and again. What I thought was 'love' turned out to be transactional. If I gave her what she wanted, I received her affection. If I stopped giving, the love disappeared. It wasn’t love—it was bartering.

Some say that pure love exists in the form of loving God. But even there, I’ve witnessed people who approach Him only to ask for things—praying not out of love, but in the hope that their wishes might be granted. And I’ve seen others turn away from God when those wishes went unanswered.

I believe true love reveals itself when it is given freely, without expectation. It is offered as a gift—perhaps even anonymously—so that the one receiving it feels no duty to requite the gift.

don't ask for repetition

A wise man yields

When there is a strong wind, the trees resist and die, and the grass bends. The storm goes by and again the grass stands straight, laughing and enjoying. The big tree thinks so much of himself and will fight the storm: “Who can bend me? Who can force me to yield?” It is foolish to fight with the storm, because the storm has not come for you. It is nothing special, the storm is simply passing and you happen to be there.

A wise man yields. A foolish man always resists. A wise man can see the total of life and accept what is; a foolish man can only see the fragment and always suffer from his choice.
