A lover

A girl came back home from the school and asked her grandmother, "Granny, what is a lover ?"
"A lover!!" the grandmother said. "Let me think. Lov... Lover... Oh, my God!"
She rushed to the wall, pulled aside the hanging rug, revealing a hidden closet door. She unlocked the door, and a skeleton of a young man fell out from the closet.

Bad luck

With a pile of 300 resumes on his desk and a need to pick someone quickly, the boss told his assistant to make calls on the bottom 50 and toss the rest.
"Throw away 250 resumes?"asked the assistant, shocked, "What if the best candidates are in there?"
"You have a point," he said. "But then again, I don't need people with bad luck here."

The Carpenter

After forty years of hard work an old carpenter dies and goes to heaven. When he gets to the Pearly Gates he knocks on the door. Saint Peter opens it and says, "Yes?"

The old carpenter explains, "I am an old carpenter. I have worked hard for forty years, I never did any harm to anyone, and I am here for my reward."

Saint Peter replies, "I don't know about that. Wait here for a minute and I will go and get some information on you."

He goes inside and is about to talk to the boss, God, when he runs into Jesus. Jesus says, "Why are you all excited?" So Peter tells him the whole story: an old carpenter, worked hard for forty years, never did any harm to anyone.

Jesus listens to the story with mounting interest and asks, "Did he have white hair?"
Peter says, "Yes!"

"Little pixie eyeglasses with chromium frames?"
"Yes!"

"About so tall? Wearing a waistcoat, a little paunchy?"

"Yes, yes, yes!" says Peter.

Jesus runs to the Pearly Gates, throws open the door, takes a look at the little old man and cries at the top of his lungs, "Daddy!"

And the carpenter looks at him and joyously exclaims, "Pinocchio!"

Take your flute now

I have to constantly remind myself: "please let the heart take the flute and sing my life song".

The days are passing one after another, and if I don't sing my song, it will be just yet another wasted life.

This society is training my mind to fight for success, power, money and my mind listens, it's like a robot now. Tell it to do it and it will do as such. It's dependent on this doing.

While the reality is that, inside me, all I want is peace.

Just be!

"How could there be any question of acquiring or possessing, when the one thing needful for a man is to become - to be at last, and to die in the fullness of his being."
Antoine de Saint Exupéry

Perfection by simplicity

"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."
Antoine de Saint Exupéry

Be quiet!

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.” Mark Twain

Immense ocean of silence

"Our existence is nothing but a sound in an immense ocean of silence."

Good intentions?

Ancient proverb: "The path to hell is paved with good intentions."

Life and death

We are all here just to disappear sooner or later. Life is very precarious, accidental, any moment anybody can go.
Never ask "why". Life is without any "why" and death is without any "why". The "why" cannot be answered, need not be answered. Life is not a problem that can be solved, neither is death. Life and death are both parts of the mystery which knows no answer.
